Philip Chen

Philip Chen is co-founder and Assurance & Financial Advisory Leader of FairWise Partners. Philip has over 20 years of working experience in financial professional service arena. Philip used to work with PricewaterhouseCoopers for over 10 years, including 2 years of overseas experience in UK and holding the position up to senior manager. During his stay in PwC, Philip mainly served financial service clients with recognised focus on asset management sector.  He has accumulated abundant knowledge and expertise with respect to regulatory environment, back office operation, accounting/tax, internal controls of mutual fund and private equity business. Philip also maintained close relationship with regulatory bodies during client services and has participated various industrial discussions organized by regulatory bodies.

After PwC, Philip has been owner-managing his practice in boutique firms for over 10 years. Philip’s service experience now covers financial statement audit, non-audit assurance, financial due diligence, internal control review, market entry advisory, domestic/overseas IPO readiness, cross-border service cooperation and client training. In addition to client service commitments, Philip is also dedicated to communication, coordination and market development tasks of international networks of accounting firms by taking the long-term roles as audit committee member and international business coordinator of an international network ranking among top 20 worldwide. 

Philip graduated from Fudan University as Bachelor of Economics and he is a practicing member of CICPA as well as CFA charter holder.
